Background:
Roger’s wife Teresa died in 2014 after a seven year cancer journey. The charity Loss and Life was born out of his experience and the desire to help support the bereaved.
The Remembering with Clay project (RWC) was developed over a number of years as a protocol to work with the bereaved using the medium of clay. When people have no words to express how they feeling, clay provides an extraordinary visceral connection to those emotions and helps individuals to process their grief. It is a privilege to work with people in this way, restoring hope and purpose through creativity. The RWC has become the mainstay of the charity work.
Throwing on the wheel and gaining a knowledge of ceramics has become the second passion in my life. It has been a joy to connect with the clay therapy community and Lynne Souter-Anderson's work.
