Focussing on the client is at the heart of my practice, working with each person as a unique individual, free from judgement or assumptions. From this starting point, we can develop a positive therapeutic relationship to work in a way which best suits you.
I have extensive experience of working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem and self-worth, domestic abuse and trauma. I have both experience and training in working with people who are diagnosed as, or feel they are, neurodivergent. I work with both young people and adults, having worked in a variety of settings from Cambridge Colleges, schools and Sixth forms, the YMCA, a Women’s centre and a Cancer Trust.
Recognising each person as a unique individual provides a safe space for you to explore, whatever that may mean for you. I like to use a variety of techniques in my practice. Whilst talking therapy provides the solid foundation, creativity and understanding the way the body and mind work together can both be enlightening. This interconnection between mind and body can be explored through polyvagal theory, but it can also be explored through the creative process especially using clay. I love working with clay when the moment is right – it always takes us on an interesting path.
