I am and Accredited Play Therapist with PTUK and also a Senior Clinical Supervisor, Clay Therapist and also a Course Director for APAC/Leeds Beckett University, I am a trainer elsewhere too. I hold full and current membership to Play Therapy United Kingdom. Since 2004 I have worked therapeutically with children and young people in a variety of settings including schools, Children’s Centres, nurseries and in Private Practice. I offer clinical supervision to both trainee and qualified practitioners.
I find clay to be useful in both therapy and supervision, with individuals and with groups and across the age ranges. I have used clay in work with parents as well as with their children and this is often enlightening for the parent and useful for exploring the dynamics of a relationship. In supervision the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship can likewise be explored through the use of clay.
