Accredited Play Therapist - PTUK
Creative Arts Therapist – BCTC/PTUK
Sandplay Practitioner - AST
I am an Accredited Play Therapist (PTUK), Sandplay Therapist (AST), Creative Arts Therapist.
I have a real passion for Creative Therapies and never ceased to be amazed by the power of these mediums. I find clay is such a wonderful way to work and anyone can do it – no clay or art skills are necessary. Children and adults alike find just touching and holding the clay a powerful experience and it is fascinating seeing what unfolds. People of all ages seem to find it very soothing especially when they cannot find the words to express how they feel – the clay does the work for them! I have recently completed my Sandplay training and find that Clay and Sand make a very powerful combination.
I have been working with children and families for about 20 years and this has naturally led me onto a therapeutic path where I undertook training with Dr Lynne Souter-Anderson.
I am a member of PTUK, and the Association of Sandplay Therapists. I work in many Primary Schools and a Foster Agency as well as seeing private adult clients.
